Billy Ray Falls For Miley's Potential Boyfriend

Many have described Miley Cyrus’s father - Billy Ray Cyrus - over protective. Somehow I don’t think that it is true. This is the father who let his daughter pose practically naked for Vanity Fair magazine and didn’t even take responsibility for it.

Over the weekend he closed down Disneyland for her 16th birthday - though personally that was a glorified concert. What birthday party charges their guests $250 to attend? Maybe I’ll start charging $15 at my next birthday!

Well this week Billy Ray has given permission to for Miley (who isn’t 16 till November 16th) to date 20 year old Gaston. He was a former contestant on the reality television show “Nashville Star”.

He tells "Access Hollywood," "He actually reminds me a lot of myself when I was 20 years old and I was living and searching for the dream. "He's got a great heart and soul, and a lot of determination. I think that's the true measure of a man, is when you measure his heart."
For now Miley and Gaston are denying being a couple. That’s odd since they are seen together almost everywhere they go.

Rosie O'Donnell Coming To NBC

NBC is spicing up their network by re-introducing the infamous talk show host Rosie O’Donnell. Rosie O’Donnell just signed a contract with the NBC network to headline a one hour long variety television show/backdoor pilot that will air live on the eve of Thanksgiving, November 26th.

The title of the show isn’t very inventive as it is being called Rosie’s Variety Hour. The new show will start off with a topical monologue and will feature celebrity guests, comedy skits, musical acts, and of course prize giveaways for audiences in the studios and watching from their homes.

“This is a dream come true for any performer," O'Donnell said in a statement. "Old time variety, live from New York with a nod to Ed Sullivan, Carol Burnett and memories of Sonny and Cher.”

The show is just a one-time special for now - but if it becomes a hit you can expect NBC to make it a regular show in their schedule.
